SUMMARY:San Diego - Artist Christopher M. Presents a Four Course “Fe
 ast for the Eyes”
DESCRIPTION:Follow the “Painter of Chefs” as he emulates the world
's greatest chefs on canvas, course by course.\nSAN DIEGO— You know
the top chefs: Thomas Keller, Charlie Trotter, Gavin Kaysen, Francois
Payard. On February 4-5, Exclusive Collections Galleries will be honor
ed to host the “Painter of Chefs” Christopher M. in a special food
and wine pairing that recreates the artist’s images course by cours
e with culinary tastings catered by Mandy Braidic of The Inspired Gour
met.\nBecause Christopher M. visits the tables of the greatest chefs o
f our time, he recognizes the consistent parallel between the culinary
arts and his own profession in fine art. With unrelenting attention t
o the details of taste and technique, superior respect for subject mat
ter, and the flourish of dramatic presentation, both chefs and painter
s are not only artists, but performers. In this upcoming show, Christo
pher M. plans to emphasize the impact that the culinary arts make in c
ontemporary society and how chefs have risen to celebrity status for t
heir knowledge, craftsmanship, and intrigue.\n“The reputations of th
e chefs I'm working with are truly staggering, and that feels amazing
knowing that such a lofty goal of mine has become a reality. One of my
greatest accomplishments so far, that I also find very humbling, is t
hat I've been able to translate a modern and contemporary aspect of li
fe into a medium that can join the continuity of art history. But to m
e it's only the beginning... I know that the future will reveal so muc
 h more.” - Christopher M.\n\nChristopher M. “Course by Course” d
