Wine 2.0

It is so difficult to find an active partner to import and distribute South African Wines.

We might be at the other end of the world - and some of the wines from South Africa are so interesting - yet as medium sized producers, we are wanting to get right into the swing of participating in the social network discussions regarding our wines and those of other fantastic producers in South Africa - but what is the point if the wines are not available. It is so difficult to find an adventurous agent who would be able to offer some different flavours to wine lovers in the USA.
South African wines offer great quality at really good prices.
Come on guys - give it a try!

Carolyn,

Last year on the LA County Fair there was a South African wine tasting presented by John Gorman, VP of Southern Starz Inc.

Maybe they could help you guys.

Cheers,

piko
Hi Carolyn,

Are you only interested in the USA?
How is you distribution in Belgium?
And, what is your portfolio?

Dirk

Dear Dirk
Thanks so much for your response - we do have a distributor in Belgium for Blaauwklippen, however we have an new label with a black woman from the townships of Cape Town called Lathitha whereby we are bottling her wines and assisting with her marketing and sales. We are starting off with entry level wines. e-mail me on carolyn@blaauwklippen.com and I will send her her wonderful story!.
Regards
Carolyn
if you would like some candid comments, email me - tim@nvwltd.com
We're an 8 month old wine importer and distributor in CA! and only do South African Wines!

we currently work with Stellenzicht, Lomond, Tukulu, Neethlingshof, Eikendal, Vansha, Catherine Marshall Wines...
and will be adding on Bein, Mischa, Bouchard Finlayson, Hartenberg, Natte Valleij, Dornier, Post House, and many more!
Dear Taylor
We are currently getting set up to send some wines to an importer in Napa. But we do not have distribution as yet. Would your company be interested in distributing only? They are currently getting all our labels approved.
Do you distribute in Northern or Southern California?
I dont know if you know much about Blaauwklippen, but we were in San Francisco earlier this year where we were the only South African producers at the ZAP festival, where we had a great response to our wine. We are the biggest and oldest producers of Zinfandel in South Africa. We are situated just outside Stellenbosch and are also one of the oldest producers in SA, dating back to 1982.
If you are interesed, please send me you e-mail address, so I can send you more detailed information. My e-mail is carolyn@blaauwklippen.com.
Kind Regards
Carolyn,
I have a small wine brokerage in the mid-atlantic states and I would be interested in looking at your portfolio. A good south african book is just what I am looking for right now. You can email me at: johns@eastcoastimporters.net. Cheers,
John E. Scruggs, Principle
East Coast Importers, LLC.
Any luck with this? I wish there was something I can do to help; as a consumer, I can only seek South African wines. My connections are limited when it comes to the wine import/ distribution.
