Summer Shipping Woes

I work for a winery down in the Paso Robles area, where in the summer it gets HOT! Some wineries suspend shipping wines to customers during summer months, but would a winery really want to turn down a sale (or at least give the customer a chance to rethink their purchase)? Does anyone out there have any ideas or products to protect wine in extreme temperatures?
