Wine 2.0

I got one today as a gift wine in a nice box and while I still regard boxed wine akin to wine coolers (ala Bartley and Jaymes ) I was encouraged by all the "green" information of the box i.e. it was made from 20% recycled product (but not the wine I hope?). The instructions for recycling was simple enough including how to remove the sealed bag from inside to sort the paper box from the bag both which are 100% recyclable.

I wonder if 2010 will be the year Box Wine, Plastic Bottles, and Plastic corks really take off?

a side note when can I refill the bottle of wine though?

I've been wondering for a while why wineries don't box their wines at least for by-the-glass programs. Aside from the question of brand equity, is there any other reasons wineries can't do this? Is brand the only obstacle to more product being shipped for less cost? Thanks for starting this discussion!
younger and more creative ownership will lead to a larger box wine market, especially throughout the grocer industry. My sister is an avid fan of boxed wine and has several favorites(don't we all), check out Vine Wine in Long Island City, NY she has started a movement that way.
