- After a mostly checked career in the industry as a cellar rat, wine educator, wine radio host, wine salesman, tasting room consultant and frequent (wife says a bit too frequent) wine consumer, I am online promoting the industry.
In 2006 we started a comprehensive winery directory featuring hundreds of wineries with an internal search engine to find tasting rooms that say, are dog friendly or use "green technologies". Lots of images, videos, wine maps and promotions for small and mid-sized wineries. Over 1200 pages and growing with over 12,000 uniques a month! Villa San Juliette Wine
We recently heard about this new winery being built near Paso Robles. The owners are two pretty successful Brits from Liverpool who hit it big with their TV show American Idol. They bought a nice piece of property and replanted the vineyard with Cab and Merlot.

Vina Robles Wine Tasting
Just had a great visit at Vina Robles in Paso Robles. They have this grand tasting room and hospitality center and they do something that more wineries should do. They provide a sampling of artisian cheeses with your tasting. The cheese is not some schlok from Safeway but the good stuff that pairs well with their wines.
