I produce estate, certified organically-grown Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cabernet Franc under the label "Canihan Family Cellars" and a reserve label, "Exuberance". My vineyard is located on the southern tip of Sonoma Valley, bordering Los Carneros. Our first commercial release, the 2004 Syrah was awarded the top award: "Best in Show - Red Wine" at the 2007 San Francisco International Wine Competition. Our 2005's all won Double Gold or Gold medals in the 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. I believe in minimalist winemaking techniques, and that the best grapes make the best wine.
