After completing a Master's Degree in English Literature and subsequently spending the better part of a dozen years detoured into middle management for a Fortune 500 company, I finally landed a way to combine my passion with my living. That was the better part of ten years ago.
I now spend my days working the floor at a specialty wine shop in the Philadelphia area. When I'm not at the office, you'll find me teaching wine classes, conducting tastings and providing private sommelier services in and around the greater Philadelphia area.
In my spare time, I also manage to eat and drink my way around town. After "retiring" from many years of bike racing, I still manage to get out for a spin fairly regularly, ostensibly to offset all the eating and drinking…. In between all of that, I express myself by writing about food, wine and related cultural phenomena at "McDuff’s Food & Wine Trail."
It's great to see you here. I love that you also pursued your passion for food and wine and made it your career. I'm just getting started this year and find the wine industry incredibly intriguing and fun.
