I have my Certified Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers, and I'm WSET Certified. I buy the wine for Starling Diner, a 45-seat American Bistro concept. I love learning about wine and wine/food pairings and I'm passionate about sharing that knowledge with others.
At this point, I have it narrowed down to four types: red, white, sparkling and fortified.
Most memorable experience around wine?
When I was just 13, my family and I visited a winery in Madeira. A girl not much older than me came towards me with two trays of half-filled wineglasses. She asked in heavily accented English, "Sweet, or dry?" I replied "Yes" and took one of each. Wine has been a great ride ever since.

Thanks much for the message. I passed the first two levels a couple of weeks ago and am extremely happy about that. I'm considering the CSW as well as I heard the exam content is similar to the CS. Would be happy to "compare notes" as we move forward.
