"I tried the Vino Del Barrio & El Serrano when I was there in August. Very pleased with both. I had bought a bottle of the La Serrana and brought it to Florida, when I visited my brother. We had gone fishing in the Gulf and had the wine with some…"

About Me:
Yo a Capricorn!

Former educator, staff trainer, curriculum developer, and grant proposal writer--Marketing & Accounting undergrad, and MBA from Northern Arizona University. I am now doing my next career working wine sales at Kenneth Volk Vineyards, Santa Maria, California.
I enjoy working with people--all ages, all genders, most political leanings. I like all kinds of music, expecially Salza, Latin Jazz, Blues, Funky Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Swing, and Classical. I am also fond of Spanish and French songs--Romance Languages. Besides educator, I used to be a musician, painter, photographer, general contractor, pet psychologist, career counselor, and wannabe chef (ugh!). I'm known to speak a little bit of Spanish now and then--a really little bit.
I have also traveled a bit. My idea of travel is to learn as much as I can about the land and the people and stay more than the three days Americans are so used to. In foreign lands I usually like to ride the busses or any; other form of public transportation that the masses ride. Favorite countries to travel/visit--England, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand (tops), and of course Catalina Island--hey that's not a foreign land! Oh yes it is, the folks there can be a little different.
My favorite thing right now, besides wine, is being part of anything to do with people reaching out to do something different, that affects others in a positive manner. Pretty lofty for an old guy, no?

Hi Gary--It's not as hard as you think and I enjoy writing so much that it hardly takes any energy! I'm just really motivated and have been for a long time so I am itching to get this project started! I will definitely stop by when I visit the area. It seems like a wonderful place to visit. I sent the website link to some friends.

Hi Gary! I haven't reviewed that wine yet. I've only had a few Wild Horse wines. But none of the limited production wines. They're hard to come by around here. I am planning a trip to your area next year so maybe I'll get to experience some more then. Looking forward to it! I attend a wine tasting at least once a week so it enables me to get material for my writing! I truly enjoy doing it. Currently, I am working on putting together my own site which will go one better: I want to interview each and every person I have as a contact. There are so many fascinating occupations in the wine industry and they should be talked about! Each person will eventually be featured as the Wine Country Personality of the Week or day or however I decide to do it... I started drinking wine by accident and I'm so glad I did!! Thanks for friending me.
