The Young Winos is a nationwide network of twenty-somethings, encompassing all levels of skill and experience, whose members share a passion for wine discovery and exploration.

What started out as a small gathering of friends in Los Angeles has grown to become the authority for the edutoxication of the twenty-something demographic. The Young Winos of LA are now familiar faces at every major wine event in Los Angeles (including their own series of events, such as a recent tasting/screening of "Bottle Shock" featuring director Randy Miller). And from its website, YoungWinosOfLA.com, the LA group has established itself as a leading voice for twenty-something consumers looking to cut through the marketing clutter and discover great bottles.

Since our write-up in the LA Times and an appearance on MSNBC, the Winos have begun a nationwide expansion, establishing satellite chapters in San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, Santa Barbara, the Central Coast, and Albany, New York -- with many others soon to follow. Our social networking site, YoungWinos.com, connects all of our distant members and allows coordinated exploration of wine themes and topics by Young Winos all across the country.
