Hi Jim,
It was great meeting you at the Family Winemaker's tasting. The Terra Savia wines were terrific, made even better with the price points.
Cheers!
If you come to the Stanford Inn, which is just south of Big River Bridge and the town of Mendocino, and go through the lobby, you will find our bar. I'll be waiting there at 1pm this coming Wed. Looking forward to it!
Generally I try to meet with people before serving starts - so 1pm or 2pm is best. Just let me know if either of those works for you, and I'll be there then. Thanks!
Please do make a point to contact me if you are in our area. Yes, my wife Vicki and I will be at Family Winemakers this month in SF. We will be there both days, look forward to meeting you.

Hi Jim,
I buy for the Raven's - working right now on shifting our wine list to focus more exclusively on Mendocino County wines, with a tilt towards organics. Always good to see other people from the neighborhood.

I am a 4th generation winegrower in Mendocino County. My greatgrandfather had a winery before prohibition in the town of Hopland where I live. I started the first winery in Hopland after prohibition in 1975. This harvest will be my 32nd vintage as a commercial winemaker. As a consultant I have helped many start up operations and currently make wine for Terra Savia, an organic brand made from the vines in my front yard. I produce about 40 cases a year of a Bordeaux Blend called Hoplander that is pretty much my private stash.
I live in and amongst the vineyards at the base of a mountain near Hopland. I love to fish and drink wine.(simultaneously)
