I am with you on that Randy, Jack and Karen! Nothing worse than going to a "fine dining" establishment and having them serve your overly priced wine in bottle thick glasses!! Wrong on so many levels.

Summer Fun! Riesling Anyone?
Summer is here, and the afternoon beach parties, sailing adventures and picnics are on. That spread of fruit salad, French bread, cheeses, raw oysters, fresh vegetables, sashimi and assorted meats (some plain, some barbecued or grilled) just cry out for wine.
There are just so many to choose from. Where do we start? In my opinion, there is no real "right or wrong" when it comes to choosing the wine, simply a matter of taste and preference. What do you like? What do your guests like?

Portugal has many autochthones grape varieties, red and whites.
White varieties are very interesting, with very different characters, but SYRIA also cold Códega do Larinho is fantastic, with citrons aromas of tangerine and orange.
Portugal Dão region has the most gastronomic wines: fresh, intense, elegant with very nice acidity, made with autochthonous grapes from very particularly varieties.
Just try.
I am a producer in Portuguese Dão region, and I suggest you to taste an old Dão.
