I’ve been in the wine business just over 15 years—5 of the past at Paige Poulos Communications. Some out there may remember me from my tenure as Executive Director of Wine Brats for nine years, during which time our executive team and hundreds of dedicated volunteers helped grow the organization into the world's largest consumer wine organization. Our WineRave and Chefs w/out Hats Tours helped redefine wine in American culture. It’s very exciting to see Wine 2.0 stepping into this space to carry the mantle!
As Senior Director of Creative Services at PPC, I work with our team to identify trends, and develop programs that resonate in the marketplace. On the event side, I live for producing lifestyle events that integrate fashion, music, art and film with fine wine. A few years back, we produced the national food and wine media sneak previews and tastings for the movie “Sideways.” Wow, that was something. Go Pinot Noir! Over the past 4 years, I’ve also produced the Pink Out! tastings as managing director of RAP (Rosé Avengers & Producers). It’s very exciting to see rosé on fire in the market.
On the environmental side, I’ve helped develop eco-tours and events, as well as assisted in the creation of green messaging programs for a number of PPC clients. Today, we are part of the team producing the upcoming Green Wine Summit on December 1 & 2, 2008 in Sonoma County.
I’ll be traveling to Wine 2.0 with Chris Donatiello of C. Donatiello Winery. We’ll be sharing tastes of his Russian River Valley small-lot Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the Reserve Room. If you haven’t heard, C. Donatiello launched this last spring. The organic estate and Aroma Gardens are beautiful, as are the wines. Chris is also a music lover. He launched a new singer-songwriter music series “Live From the Middle Reach” this summer to rave reviews. You’ve got to experience it!
Anyway, I look forward to seeing old friends and making new at Wine 2.0!
Great to see you yesterday. Looking forward to lunch on Tuesday.

Smoke! Had a great time in NYC. City Winery is an amazing concept and we really enjoyed the dinner. We look forward to producing some very cool events there. Wine 2.0 and the Thunder Show were very good to C. Donatiello Winery. We've had a nice spike in website traffic! Let's meet soon. Cheers...
Hi Joel! Thanks for being a St. Supery fan. Yes "We" will be at Wine 2.0 in NYC, but not I...our cool NYC chick, Jacki, will pour Elu and Virtu in the Reserve Room and our French imports (Maison Bouachon and Robert Skalli) will be poured in the main hall. Hope to see you soon, but probably closer to home - those young kids have cramped my jet-setting style...

Hi Elizabeth! Kudos to Howard. C. Donatiello wines have georgeous Russian River Valley fruit and complexity, yet the beauty is in their balanced acidic structure. These wines love food! FYI: We're going to be in the Reserve Room, so stop on by!
