Reno Nevada - 2008 - Wineosaurus Enterprises announces the launch of Wineosaurus.com, a definitive wine blog. This site is a lot more than just a personal journal of opinions on wine. While everyone can read the content and use the features such as a calendar of events, it is a membership site that allows individuals, businesses, non profit organizations to have their own posts and list their wine tasting events.
In Reno and most of the country Wine Tasting events have grown in the past five years from a few a month to almost one or two every night. The Wineosaurus Founder John Green realized there was not a central source for the information telling the public about these events and decided this was a “need” he could fulfill.
"We don’t just talk the talk or just drink the wine… We participate". They have donated their time and talents to various tasting events held by organizations like the Nevada Art Museum / IGT annual event where over a Hundred Thousand Dollars was raised for the museum.
Seven months ago they started a small web site “Wine Time Friends” just to list events in the Reno area. This was so well received that it was taken to the next level and wineosaurus.com was born.
They created the word “wineosaurus” to represent themselves as a couple of dinosaurs that are in search of fine fermenting grapes in order to live life to it’s fullest. They also uses the popular “Twitter” to tell people where their tasting quest has taken them and invite others to join in.
They are looking forward to expanding the scope of wineosaurus.com to regional and even national levels. The features of the site are being expanded and updated constantly. The plan is to provide a combination of event announcements, entertaining / informative posts and user friendly features that builds both members and loyal readers.
