"Hi there. Hope you had a great Xmas. It was great here in Australia. Drank a sparkling Shiraz with the Turkey plus a Noble rot wine with the pudding - what did you drink for Xmas day?"

Mclaren vale Wines - Hugo Wines

I have to admit that I have been a fan of Hugo Winery wines from the Mclaren Flat area of Mclaren Vale for a long time. I first visited their cellar door when it was at a different location. Returning to their impressive new cellar door provides a sense of warm welcome and a frequent smiling face. The cellar door is the furthest from Mclaren Vale for the Mclaren Flat wineries (see location on the map on my web page). The cellar door is open 7 days per week (9:30 am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 12…See More

Hi Shane -

To be honest, I didn't love the wines I had XMas day. They were both from Schug (Carneros, CA), which I normally really enjoy. The Pinot was ok, but the blanc-de-noir just wasn't to my taste. But I'm optimistic about what I'll be drinking for the New Year. :) You?
