- I'm Mari Stull, The Vino Vixen. I'm a wine journalist, whose wine-soaked musings appear in over 25 media outlets monthly including WineTasteTV, BlueSky Journal, Taste of the Bay Magazine, Times Community Syndication Papers, Our Town and a plethora of others.
Formerly an international lobbyist (no snarky comments, pls!) for the food and beverage industry. I specialized in trade and regulatory policy (ok, now you can get snarky), I chucked it all to concentrate on my true passion - wine. I began my vino career with my brother at Super Marketing Promotions where we developed the Virtual Wine Selector. You may have seen our kiosks in grocery store wine aisles. From there, I went to wine writing...first as a lark, now as a career. In addition to wine writing, I speak at corporate and consumer events, host over 50 wine tastings each year, and consult to several DC area restaurants on their wine programs.
Lastly, I'm President of Club BV* (*Bon Vivant), a private wine tasting club in the Metro DC area. About 50 of us wine-OHs get together a few times a month at stylish locations to sip and learn about 8-10 lovely, unique wines. It's a great way for me to bring my wine writing and interesting wine to my readers and let them experience wine (instead of words). It's also my way to give back a little to the community - I donate proceeds from these events to local charities.

Portugal Dão region has the most gastronomic wines: fresh, intense, elegant with very nice acidity, made with autochthonous grapes from very particularly varieties.
Just try.
I am a producer in Portuguese Dão region, and I suggest you to taste an old Dão.
