2006 PFC Treborce Vineyard Zinfandel receives 94 Points
We are proud to announce that the Wine Enthusiast Magazine recently awarded the 2006 Phipps Family Cellars Treborce Vineyard Zinfandel a 94 Pt. rating and included us in a 6-page article entitled "CALIFORNIA ZINFANDEL: The New Wave."
In his rating, Steve Heimoff writes "A beautiful Zinfandel that shows the elegant balance of a fine Cabernet Sauvignon, but with Zin’s exuberant personality. It’s powerful in wild blackberry, black raspberry and mulberry fruit, with cola, mocha and chamomile notes liberally accented with crushed black pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Finishes complex, long and absolutely dry. Really defines Dry Creek Zin at its best."
