Patrick has spent a number of years in the retail and wholesale segments of the wine and liquor industry. He has selected wines and composed wine lists for some of the top restaurants in South Florida, and conducts staff training for restaurants in Florida and other states. Involved in wine and spirits training for the trade and the public since 1990, he has hosted hundreds of multi-course wine-and-food-paired dinners.
As managing partner of a large retail wine and liquor store, Cork & Bottle, opened in 2001, Patrick’s approach to its design and operation garnered the Miami New Times award “Best Wine/Liquor Store in Miami” during its first year of operation.
