"Hi João, I love all the wines of Portugal and Touriga Nacional is one of my favourites. The Dao region is on my list of places to visit in the near future so I hope I'll be able to get there and visit your winery soon. All the best, Paula"

About Me:
Fell in love with wine as an 18 year old gourmet chef, a job I took to help pay my university tuition. Still in love many years later. In between I've been an attorney, CPA, COO of an energy trading company and a few lesser jobs thrown in when I got bored. Now I run my own internet wine company and do wine education and wine tourism.

Hi Paula
I am a producer in Portuguese Dão region..
Don’t forget to visit us. Undisputedly, Dao’s star grape is Touriga Nacional. Recent DNA research confirms that Touriga originated in Dao, and didn’t move to Douro until the 19th century. Because of this, Touriga has its widest range of clonal diversity and varietal character in Dao. Ripening under cooler conditions, it takes on broader florals (violets, balsamic, bergamont and orange blossom are common descriptives), a finer structure and retains more natural acidity than elsewhere in Portugal. The fact that it consistently ripens at 12-13% alcohol testifies to its natural fit with Dao soils and weather.

What a small world it is! Hope you can find the time to come and visit us when you are in Piedmont.
Harvest is going well - we are waiting a little longer for the barbera (that last bit of sugar!) - hope the weather holds.

Hi Paula - thanks for connecting. Have you thought about joining ASDW? Which reminds me I must encourage some more UK based wine dealers onto Wine 2.0...

Hello Paula. Welcome to W2.0 and thanks for adding me. I just happened to have completed a move to SW London (from the USA). Your profile reminds me a bit of myself in some ways, and the welcome statement on your company's website pretty much sums up all of my interests on Enotheque. Please let me know if you have any upcoming events in London, as it would be great to meet you as well as learn more about the wines you carry.
