About Me:: My name is Guy Birenbaum,i have been in united states for over 32 years and olmost the same accent. I am a chef by trade with a fomal apprenticeship at < PAUL BOCUSE > restaurant in the mid 60's.i have been a private chef for many years before starting my own business 7 years ago with a line of savorie bake goods that i call: vegetable brioche,i also created,chicken pies and much more, born in the beaujolais area every goes with wine.

Star Grocery is located in Berkeley on Claremont Avenue at the Uplands. It is the BEST Grocery store! One can even have their own little accounts like my parents did at Black's Market in Orinda. What can I say, I like tradition., I even went to Star with my wonderful Granny....Guy's little pies are FABULOUS! And, of course Guy is just as fabulous!
