- Born, bred and based in Hawkes Bay, Yvonne Marie Lorkin is deeply involved in the wine industry. She is the wine writer for NZ House & Garden magazine, has a syndicated weekly wine column that runs across six newspapers around New Zealand and she is a senior wine-show judge. In addition to which, she freelances for various food & wine publications and is regularly called on as an industry commentator, a public speaker and event MC, celebrity debate adjudicator and charity auctioneer. Hosting corporate wine events, wine tastings and team-building challenges are a speciality. She runs her own wine marketing consultancy business and has a weekly wine segment on Classic Hits radio breakfast show AND she’s a published children’s’ writer. As a working mother of two and wife of one, she relishes any excuse to get out of the home and office, hence why she’s totally passionate about New Zealand’s wine regions and all they to offer. She has close working relationships with many local food and wine producers which helps fuel her love of cooking, wine tasting and of course, wine touring!
