I spent Father's Day wine tasting with my D.I.D. (dude i'm dating) in Sonoma. It was an imromptu trip that turned out to be a great day in 80 degree weather with wine and steak tacos. Really, what more could a girl ask for (besides some good wine)?
How It Happened
This trip was 100% impromptu. No planning. No mapping. No making a list of places we “must go”. We hopped in the car, rode up the
101, successfully avoided the traffic associated with Nascar, and started
hitting wineries based on what looked/sounded interesting or where we could get complimentary tasting recommendations.
How do the complimentary tastings work? To be completely honest, I’m not sure. The D.I.D. kept saying “c’mon Nadi, if you knew your wines were legit, would you really be giving other vineyards
complimentary tasting cards to get you to come out?”. I ignored him. But we stopped in H. Frank (amazing
furniture spot) because I like looking in furniture stores that I can’t afford that
sell furniture that I have no space for and that's where the complimentary tastings began.
- H Frank (thanks Denise) gave us a complimentary tasting at Roche
- Roche (thanks Bonnie!) gave us a complimentary tasting at Robledo
- Robledo (thanks Luis!) gave

What We Joined
Nothing. That should tell you everything you need to know.
We really wanted to stop by BR Cohn but
they shut the joint down early for a wedding.
Supposedly the ambiance is incredible because its owned or managed by
the former manager of the Dubee Brothers.
