First day of the 2009 Harvest at Sol Rouge Vineyard

The 2009 Harvest has begun. On Thursday, September 10, 2009, we harvested the first fruit at Sol Rouge. It was from a third leaf section of our terrace block. We weren't expecting any fruit this year, but with good water management and organic fertilizer treatments, we were able to get about 1.1 tons per acre of Petite Sirah.
