Lightening the Load on the Federal Government. Give Alabama to China for credit?

Since the PORNO revelation out of Alabama recently, I've been thinking. Do we really need Alabama? They are a load on the federal budget for sure, along with Mississippi and heck, Texas is always talking about leaving the Union. And what about Alaska? Sure the oil is needed, but we could just take it and not pay them. That might make up for some of the damage done to the national psyche by Sarah You Betcha' Palin.

That'd be 46 states... that's plenty. And what about the states that don't allow wine shipping? Now we're getting there. Let's trim the budget by getting rid of the states that just give us grief, keeping of course states that produce wine.

Mr. Obama? Are you listening?
