It is so interesting how social media and networks bring interesting ideas and useful programs to make your life flow. Organizing and easy of access is a must in our fast pace lives. On Twitter I was building my following network. The more people you follow the more information and links to sites and blogs and other related topics you get. It can be overwhelming at first but you learn how to sort all the aggregated information. You also build networking relationships that can help you spread your knowledge and interest to the vast network. I meet a very interesting woman on Twitter. One of the largest wine sites is hers. She had developed a new App called NatDecants. I saw this App on a Twitter post. As most of you know I love my iPhone and Wine. I have several wine related apps that do a great job. This one did food paring with wine. I sent her a direct message (DM) on Twitter and told her I liked the app but was sad there were no Texas wines in the app. She replied back to me pretty quick and asked to exchange email address there was things to come.

Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for your note! I’m delighted that you like the app for the pairings and I hope the other aspects will be useful too such as the recipes, articles, etc.

I’m working on a comprehensive directory of US wines that will include all Texan wines… it’ll be much like what you see with the Cdn wineries in the app. Click on the “More” button at the button and then when the list of countries comes up, click on Canada. Every winery will have a homepage with full details: contact, history, Twitter, hours, etc etc. I’d love your input once we get this together but we’re still at least 6 weeks away from launch as it’s a massive project.

I would like to ask everyone reading this short quick blog on this app to get the app and try it out and email @ thegrapesaroundtexas@gmail.com and give me your thoughts and ideas on it. I will send the suggestions and and ideas you have to her. Lets make Texas wine stand out in the world. The app is for iPhone and Blackberry.
