I am an artist: first and foremost. I sculpt creations that are as beautiful and they are mysterious and rare. My work is inspired by my appreciation of the vine and it's yield.
I know my work fits in the culture of wine. People get it. My aim here is to develop a better dialogue by understanding everyone's thoughts on the pairing of the two. Artists that can clearly articulate that vision become very successful. At the highest end of the Wine and Art Culture is my hero: Thomas Arvid. I wish to emulate what he achieved on canvas with my glass.
Those of you familiar with Arvid or have your own favorite wine related artist- I would really like to hear from you. What are your thoughts about the pairing of fine art and fine wine. How do you relate to them both? Do they compliment each other equally or at all? Does the art express a depth of appreciation or does one have to get a little tipsy to appreciate the art?
You don't have to be a collector....just an art and wine lover. Any and all voices on the topic are valid to me. There is not "color between the lines, Jimmy!" with me. I just wish to have input.
Thanks to all.
